2017 Ford GT – Interior and Exterior Features

Some of the jaw-dropping features of 2017 Ford GT include brassiness of Ford’s sultry styling emphasised by the carbon-fiber monocoque which Ford’s engineers bolted to the front and rear sub-frames made from aluminum. Carbon-fiber will be used in the body panels as well. Active aerodynamics will be one of the major features of this performance beast.

Active aerodynamic elements include a multi-position rear wing which helps to keep the vehicle planted at speed. The suspension is active. It uses inboard and pushrod-actuated damping. Adjustable ride height will make the ride easier. The carbon-ceramic brakes will see to it that the car stops as fast as it goes. The 2017 GT will run on 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports Cup 2 tires.

Apart from the wide front end which is reminiscent of Ford GT40, rest of the design of this vehicle is fully supercar-modern. Tight, two-seat passenger cell is situated at a point above the two cannon-sized central exhaust outlets with its rear fenders sitting entirely apart from its main fuselage. Laydown, pushrod suspension makes its channels between wheels and body possible. Doors hinge forward and up. They do not incorporate portions of the roof, unlike earlier models.

The car has a simple, business-like cabin. Digital gauge cluster which is augmented by a central color touch screen display having Ford’s newly introduced Sync 3 infotainment setup. The slim centre tunnel has starter and transmission selector buttons. A pair of paddle shifters will also be added. Square-circle-shaped steering wheel will give a sporty look. Door-mounted HVAC vents are awesome.
