Exterior Design and Styling of 2017 Mazda CX-5

The exterior of this model has been designed keeping in mind the contemporary trends of automotive fashion. The front end of this SUV gets a larger bumper along with large side air intakes. LED foglights have been fitted quite impressively into these air intakes. Modifications have been brought to the rear lights and LEDs are now offered optionally.

Interior Improvements:

The most noticeable change in the interior is its center console, which has now become simpler yet more stylish. Integration of a new generation updated multimedia system and control unit for climate system has been done to the console. A modern shape has finally been given to the outdoor tunnel. The ventilation system vents have original chrome frame. The buyer has the option of choosing a decorative effect for the front panel with the choice of aluminum, metal, wood or simply gloss black.

The traditional parking brake lever is no longer present in 2017 Mazda CX-5, and it has been replaced by an electrically controlled parking brake. The extended rear seat has resulted in a more comfortable accommodation for passengers in the second row.

When compared to the previous model, the interior of 2017 CX-5 is relatively quieter. There has been a reduction of 10% cabin noise, as the manufacturer claims. There has been a good salon transformation, which has resulted in a small 14.2 cubic feet trunk being turned into a luggage compartment of 52.9 cubic feet.

2017 Mazda CX-5 – Engine Specification

Both these powertrains will have turbocharged variants. The 2.0-liter engine generates 155 hp of output along with 150 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the 2.5-liter unit produces 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission will be paired with these engines.

As far as fuel efficiency is concerned, 2017 Mazda CX-5 has great fuel economy ratings. The use of SkyActive technology has resulted in good fuel efficiency with its mild bone and a 13:1 ratio of combustion. The smooth and fast response of auto transmission have also played its role in the good mileage of this compact crossover.
