Land Rover has brought up the Range Rover Sport for the upcoming season, and this model has been gathering quite an attention. The 2017 Range Rover Sport has been featured with an array of technological features with minimal changes in its exterior (mainly to denote a new model year).
The 2nd generation of Range Rover Sport was introduced in 2013 and since then, this 2017 Sport has got its 1st big update. This new Range Rover Sport features all the driving pleasure as before with added technological convenience. Apart from its interior cabin, there are no other major changes.
2017 Range Rover Sport – External Body Parts and Inner Cosmetic Changes
The exterior body of this 2017 Range Rover Sport seems to have no changes or even if there are, they should be minimal. Land Rover described nothing in the press release about how the exterior body is different from its predecessor hinting that there are no significant changes.
However, the company did mention that there are 19 new colour options which have high-gloss and satin finishes. The company has done a favour by updating the front fog lights. Its lower fascia has got some revision. New wheel choices have been put out too.
Land Rover has still kept the interior cabin of this 2017 Range Rover Sport a secret. This hints that an array of changes is likely to be incorporated. There are no photos of interior cabin from the press release. Luckily, one spy shot has shed some light on this.
There’s now a 10.2-inch touch screen infotainment display with soft keys as the physical buttons have been removed. This also gives a clean look to the dashboard. The software has been upgraded for more convenience.
In addition to the previously featured driver aid functions, several new features have been added which are advanced tow assist, autonomous emergency braking, low traction launch, intelligent speed limiter and blind spot assist.
One of the most interesting features is the advanced tow assist as it completely minimises the counterintuitive steering which is needed to back a trailer. Other previous features are lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and rear park distance control.
