When Volkswagen first presented the first generation Tiguan, it was very successful, and nearly 2.8 million units have been sold worldwide. But unlike other countries, this Tiguan SUV has not been very popular in the U.S. But this might be changed as the new 2017 VW Tiguan is improved in different aspects as the company has covered various grounds. The Tiguan SUV has also been in competition with similar models like Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V for quite some time now.

2017 VW Tiguan – Exterior Body Styles and Interior Changes

This 2017 VW Tiguan is coming with different trim options which are SEL, SE, R-Line and S. The exterior body of this VW Tiguan 2017 has been graced with an elegant yet beautiful design. Starting from its front fascia, it has a wide grille which has two wide horizontal slats. This grille is completed by the headlights which have the same shape. These headlights also have LED surroundings. The front bumper consists of a wide air intake; a separate section has been cast for the air vents and fog lights. Its sportiness is also complemented by revised roof rails. Its rear portion also has a beautiful design, the overhang has an indicator, the bumper also has elongated indicators at each side, and the taillights have been modified.

Changes are prominent on the dashboard, and centre console as new control buttons have been placed. 2017 VW Tiguan – Modification under the Hood

This new 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan is getting a 2.0-liter engine that is able to generate 200 hp and a torque of 207 pound-feet. A 6-speed automatic transmission system will be used, and there will be options for both two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configuration. Acceleration of this 2017 Tiguan will be from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7.5 seconds. It’s improved mileage stats stands at 21 MPG in city, 26 MPG on highways and 23 MPG combined for two-wheel drive configuration and 20 MPG in city, 26 MPG on highways and 23 MPG on a combined basis.

2017 VW Tiguan – Price and Date of Launch

The base price of this new 2017 Tiguan is $24,890 and will be more for higher trims. It has been said that this 2017 VW Tiguan will be available in the showrooms during spring next year.
