The 2018 Subaru BRZ is a well compacted rear-wheel drive sports car. It is, however, uncertain when this updated BRZ will be released, but speculations settle for late in 2017. The previous version available in the market had a number of quality improvements, so there is very little to expect in this new model.
2018 Subaru BRZ – Body, Designs, and New Features
The main pros of this new design include a well-balanced chassis that will make it phenomenal for handling. Comfort and support in the front seats with the 2018 Subaru BRZ have not been compromised, especially with the excellent steering and a fast response. The standard features are able to provide affordability to the buyers. Some of the cons include the small trunk and backseat. An issue with the modest acceleration has not seen any further upgrades in the engine. However, based on the current changes, there are some expectations on a few adjustments which we shall look into to give you an extra reason as to why you might want to upgrade to the 2018 Subaru BRZ.
The interior has been fitted with a 4.2” LCD which is a multifunction display unit that is near the tacho. It is expected to display the lateral G-Force, the breaking force, the water temperatures, the accelerator pedal position, and an integrated stopwatch. A first time improvement with new BRZ is the infotainment control buttons that are on the steering wheel.
The exterior has been upgraded with new sports wheels, with updates on the front fascia, improved LED lighting in the front and rear. The 2018 Subaru BRZ has also been redesigned on the rear garnish which is an update on the overall look of this new model.
2018 Subaru BRZ – Engine and Performance
The 2018 BRZ is aspirated naturally with a 4-cylinder engine, with an impressive manual transmission and a lightweight design that makes navigation easier. The engine is a 6-speed manual transmission with a 200-odd in the horsepower, which makes the Subaru coupe fast enough. Another improvement on the 2018 Subaru BRZ is on the 0-60 mph time which will have a mid-6 –second range that is with the manual or is even closer to 8 seconds with the automatic transmission.
The estimated fuel economy is at 25 mpg for the manual transmission. The manual transmission has a gear that has been revised to improve the acceleration. However, the power output is dependent on the transmission that is selected. Some of the cons include the small trunk and backseat. An issue with the modest acceleration has not seen any further upgrades in the engine. However, based on the current changes, there are some expectations on a few adjustments which we shall look into to give you an extra reason as to why you might want to upgrade to the new BRZ.
The car also has revised suspension tuning and an extra horse. That is located under the hood in the manual transmission models. One difference with the new Subaru BRZ is the stability control that has had an increase in the threshold allowing one to slide the tail with fewer intrusions that could come from the safety system.
2018 Subaru BRZ – Price and Release Date
