Firstly, under its hood lies 2.0-liter twin turbocharged inline 4drivetrain which can easily deliver around 320 hp combined with an electric motor which produces further 214 hp. Then you will find a 1.5 liter 3 cylinders turbocharged drivetrain that gets matted with a combination of an electrified motor as well as a 7.1 KWh Li-Ion battery unit. Such a combination produces around 357 hp and 420 lb-ft torque. Lastly, there is a 3.0liter drivetrain which can generate nearly 480 hp and gets coupled with 109 lb-ft of torque. Although with such impressive drivetrain, it doesn’t meet the requirements of supercars.
Reports suggest that by using 120 V outlets, one can full charge 2017 BMW i8 in around 3.5 hours. But the better option is to take 240 V outlets as it fully charges in just 1.5 hours. Almost 2 hours is saved which provides the advantage which must be taken even though it will cost more.
As per performance is concerned, BMW i8 2017 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 sec. 155 mph is the top speed. On city streets and highways, its average mileage rate is 15 miles based on electric range, but when combined it reaches up to 28 mpg. Its overall drive range extends to about 330 miles.

Pricing for BMW i8 2017 hasn’t been made official yet. But experts suggest that its base price may be close to $142,000 which will increase with further modifications. The appearance of this amazing car isn’t expected till the middle of next year i.e. 2017, but everyone is still waiting for official confirmation from the German automobile company.
